NEASA YOUTH PROGRAM: Implement an in-house internship: Partner with NEASA Youth.

Dear employer

Let NEASA Youth assist you in making a tangible impact in the lives of young people. We provide semi-skilled resources, which allows you to implement a funded, in-house work-integrated internship programme.

Your internship programme will include students who:

  • have completed their TVET N4 – N6 academic training (18 months);
  • have 6 – 12 months of practical workshop experience; and
  • are pursuing their National Diplomas.

Interns’ background qualification:

  • Electricians
  • Fitter and Turners (CNC machine basic training included)
  • Mechanical Fitters
  • Welders

Internship programme includes:

  • government-subsidised student stipends;
  • 18 months structured programme;
  • intern toolbox and PPE supplied;
  • accommodation support for interns where needed;
  • students who have completed academic and practical workshop components; and
  • work-integrated learning must be implemented on-site.

Employer requirements:

  • mentoring and skills transfer;
  • on-site qualified mentor(s);
  • completion of learner logbook; and
  • monthly service fees.
