The regulatory landscape on Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) in South Africa continues to progress unabated, and businesses have no choice but to balance their ‘transformation goals’ with operational sustainability to stay financially afloat and compliant.

B-BBEE’s strategic objectives are well-documented and formulated, but insufficient information and data regarding the real monetary cost of BEE is available.
