National Minimum Wage – Key Issues

Gerhard Papenfus, NEASA CE, had a busy day with interviews on 21 July 2015. Having spoken to SABC News about the national minimum wage issue in the morning, he was later interviewed on Classic FM to express the same sentiments.

Minimum wage is an important debate in the country right now and this Classic FM interview raises some key issues, especially when it comes to competitiveness. Essentially, as the host of this program suggests, a minimum wage overrides competitiveness.
