RESTORATION OF ONLINE SERVICES

Dear employer

Yesterday, the Minister of Employment and Labour issued a media release, announcing that all of the Unemployment Insurance Fund’s (UIF) online services have been fully restored and are operational.

At the end of August 2024, these online platforms were temporarily taken offline due to a legal battle between the UIF and the service providers of its online systems, resulting in a disruption of the Fund's online services, which caused massive backlogs in the processing of all UIF-related transactions.

To access UIF services online, clients and stakeholders can navigate to uFiling, available at https://ufiling.labour.gov.za/. The UIF USSD services can be accessed by dialing 134843# from a cell phone. Smartphone users can download the data-free UIF mobile application from the Google PlayStore or Apple App Store to access UIF services.
