AMSA has increased its price several times, including today. On hot-rolled coil, their local price is pitched similar to what is available abroad, plus the 18% safeguard-duty.

The figures don’t lie, but somehow they have convinced the Government to actually support their notion that they don’t control steel prices, but that the Pricing Committee does – 18% more expensive and 18% safeguard-duties – there is no better proof.
