Dear Gerhard

I can just echo and say amen to all the previous testimonies about the state of our own business and how it has been impacted by this ruthless monopoly, Arcelor Mittal.

We build agricultural machinery which must and does compete with the best European imported equipment (which is subsidised by their government and imported at zero customs rate) and battle the unprecedented rising cost of steel. Not to mention senseless labour laws, poor exchange rate and a Government that leaves the manufacturer to battle for himself.

You just get up every morning and go on every day, because it took you 25 years to build up this business and you have loyal customers whom you can’t let down. The emotional impact is huge, but this is what we know and what we love. For how long we will still be able to continue, only God knows.
