Dear Gerhard

We are a local manufacturer employing over … people, importing approx 500 tons a year as no steel mill produces it locally. We compete against international companies selling the finished products in South Africa and the import duties don’t help us in being competitive, not to mention the fact that the import duties on the finished products are less too.
