The resignation from Seifsa by some of its major affiliate members, the Plastic Convertors’ Association of South Africa (PCASA) in 2008, Border Industrial Employers Association, South African Fasteners Manufactures’ Associations (SAFMA) and the South African Engineers and Founders’ Association (SAEFA), the latter two in 2016, must have been a very hard blow.

Although, by now, Seifsa has succumbed to the fact that they have lost all relevance in the Plastics Sector, the very recent loss of their largest affiliate (SAEFA) must still be very raw and painful. This explains their constant attacks on SAEFA and their membership.

In order to keep the Industry fully informed, we have decided to publish Seifsa’s (click here to read) attack on SAEFA – filled with misinformation as well as SAEFA’s response (click here to read).

Seifsa has also lost all relevance in the Steel Industry. The fact that ‘old habits die hard’, is saving them from complete extinction – for now.
