SAFTU PROTEST ACTION

Dear employer
 
The South African Federation of Trade Unions (SAFTU) has indicated that they will be embarking on a nationwide protest action on 24 February 2021.
 
The demonstration is, according to SAFTU, in protest against inequality and other social-economic issues.
 
The protest action has been authorized by NEDLAC and is therefore protected.
 
Any employee, unionised or not, who elects to participate in this protest action, may not be disciplined for being absent due to participation in the protest action, but the principle of no-work-no-pay applies.
