RESTAURANT TRADE: EXEMPTIONS AVAILABLE

Dear employer

The recent extension of the Main Agreement for the Fast Food, Restaurant, Catering and Allied Trades has placed many employers in the hospitality sector in a severely compromised position.

The effect of this extension is a significant increase in costs for a sector which is already bleeding due to the lockdown regulations.

However, this agreement must provide for an exemptions procedure, in terms of which employers may apply to be exempted from some or all the provisions of the agreement.
