[REMINDER] RACE QUOTAS: Business Breakfast.

Dear employer

Running a business amidst the endless red-tape and compliance burdens which threaten business survival in South Africa is no mean feat.

One such immediate threat is Employment Equity (EE) and its sectoral quotas.

Apart from the racial, gender and disability quotas being practically impossible to reach, no business can be run on a spreadsheet. Blind compliance with EE, and the consequent deviation from appointing on merit, can destroy your business efficiency and culture.

Employers should take note that the cut off date for EE reporting is 15 January 2026 and employers should urgently take steps to position their business in order to avoid risks.

Failure to report will automatically constitute non-compliance and will attract massive fines.

Consequently, NEASA is hosting a business breakfast during which we will highlight the most important pitfalls of EE, provide clear guidance to business owners on how to mitigate risks, avoid fines for non-compliance and still employ people on merit.
