Sectoral Targets Consultations

Registration Date Extended

Dear employer

NEASA recently issued a communication indicating that the Department of Employment and Labour (the Department) has circulated invitations to various sectors in respect of consultations to be held on proposed sectoral employment equity targets.

The deadline for registration for these virtual consultations was initially 13 January 2025.

NEASA subsequently contacted the Department and raised concerns regarding the short period allowed for registration, as well as some errors contained in the invitations.

Consequently, the Department corrected the errors and extended the deadline for registration to 23 January 2025.

Employers, who have not already registered, are urged to register by following the instructions contained in the notice for their respective sector.
