Registration of Information Officers: online registration portal now live.

The Information Regulator of South Africa’s online portal, for the registration of Information Officers, is now live on their website at https://justice.gov.za/inforeg/. The Regulator, however, is experiencing a high volume of registrations on the portal which is causing some delays and technical issues – they have confirmed that their technicians are working on it.

We remind all employers and institutions that process personal information, that the POPI Act requires of all of these responsible parties to be fully compliant by the end of June 2021.
 
All responsible parties have until Wednesday, 30 June 2021 to register their Information Officers.
