NEASA has been assisting employers with the challenges of compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) since it came into effect in 2021.

Recently, we have received increasing requests for assistance with new and varying forms of, and requests for compliance with POPIA from employers’ financial institutions, suppliers and customers. These endless forms to be completed and questions to be answered are often jargon laden and complex. In some instances, services are placed on hold until an employer completes the compliance request from the requesting party, which can be disruptive to a business’ operations.
