New Minimum Wage For Employees In Forestry Sector

FORESTRY SECTOR
WAGE INCREASE

Labour Minister Mildred Oliphant has announced an increased minimum wage for forestry workers with effect from 1 March 2016.
 
As at 1 March 2016, the minimum wages will be adjusted as follows:

• Hourly rate:   R 14.25

• Weekly rate:  R 641.32

• Monthly rate: R 2778.83

• A daily wage for a forestry worker who works nine hours per day is R 128.26.
