ROAD FREIGHT INDUSTRY

NEGOTIATIONS CONCLUDED

Dear Industry Employer

The negotiations under the auspices of the National Bargaining Council for the Road Freight and Logistics Industry (NBCRFLI) have been concluded.

NEASA signed the Memorandum of Understanding in respect of the Courier-, Cash in Transit-, and Furniture Removal Chambers, but not for the General Freight Chamber as we did not receive a positive mandate from members in that Chamber.

We can therefore confirm that there will be no industrial action in the Road Freight Sector.

The Agreement itself is currently being drafted and will be circulated in due course.

The Agreement will come into effect on 1 March 2019, provided that it is extended to non-parties by the Minister of Labour.

We will keep members abreast of developments in this regard.
