FEEDBACK ON MANDATING SURVEY
Dear Industry Employer
NEASA recently conducted a survey amongst its Road Freight Industry members in order to obtain a mandate in respect of the current Industry negotiations.
The overwhelming majority of participating employers agreed to the proposals presented and, consequently, confirmed the mandate from our members.
The results of the survey is presented below:
WAGES
NEASA to offer CPI and no increase in the offer without a further mandate from members – 100% agreed.
CROSS BORDER ALLOWANCE
To be increased from R108 to R130 per month – 81% agreed.
HAZCHEM DEFINITION
To be amended to include all employees exposed to actual open chemicals – 89%agreed.
FUEL DRIVER ALLOWANCE
Fuel driver allowance to be increased by same percentage as across the board increase on wages – 74% agreed.
DOUBLE CREW PAYMENT
Increase of subsistence allowance for double crew drivers by R50 per day – 67%agreed.
The next negotiating meetings have been scheduled for 16 and 17 July 2015 and NEASA will carry your mandate at these meetings.
