INCREASES IN ADMINISTRATION AND DISPUTE LEVIES
 

Dear Steel Industry employer 

The MEIBC Administrative– and Dispute levies agreements stipulate that the levies payable by employers and employees to the MEIBC will increase annually by CPI, as recorded by StatsSA, for December of the preceding year.

Accordingly, the new administration- and dispute levies, as of 1 April 2024, will be as follows: 

• Administration levy (only payable in respect of scheduled employees)
  • R2.21 per week (R9.57 monthly) for each employee with an equal contribution to be deducted from the employee
• Dispute levy (payable for all employees)

   

  • R0.80 per week (R3.46 monthly) for each employee with an equal contribution to be deducted from the employee.
