LEAVE ENHANCEMENT PAY EXTENSION
DEADLINE LOOMING
Dear Steel Industry employer
The extended MEIBC Consolidated Main Collective Agreement which becomes effective on 17 October 2022, determines that applications for exemption to not pay the Leave Enhancement Pay (LEP), as set out in the Agreement, must be submitted to the relevant regional Council by no later than 31 October of every year.
Therefore, employers who wish to apply for exemption from LEP should do so before this date.
