HOSPITALITY SECTOR

NEW MINIMUM WAGE RATES

Dear Industry Employer

The Minister of Labour has announced the new minimum wage rates for the period 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2019 for the Hospitality Sector. The new minimum wage rates are provided below.

Employers employing 10 or less employees:

• Monthly wage: R 3 384.71
• Weekly rate: R 781.14
• Hourly rate: R 17.34

Employers employing more than 10 employees:

• Monthly rate: R 3 772.65
• Weekly rate: R 870.62
• Hourly rate: R 19.35
