Skills Development and Employment Equity
Frustrated by compliance burdens?
Let us assist!

Dear employer

With NEASA Labour Compliance, you have a dedicated Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) that assists your business with skills development and employment equity (EE) matters.

Your SDF will:

  • Liaise with the relevant SETA for your business;
  • compile and submit your annual Workplace Skills Plan/Annual Training Reports (WSP/ATR);
  • claim back your 20% Mandatory Grant;
  • maximise your Skills Development points earned for BEE by submitting your WSP/ATR;
  • apply for additional Discretionary Grant funding; and
  • provide assistance on apprenticeships, learnerships, workplace approvals and other Skills Development matters.

NEASA Labour Compliance also provides the following:

  • Guide your business on EE submissions, analysis, plans and processes;
  • guide employers on training and EE committees;
  • consultation and assistance on EE audits; and
  • assistance on all EE related matters.

We also include seats in the following courses in your retainer package:

  • First Aid
  • Fire Fighting
  • Occupational Health & Safety
  • HIV/Aids Awareness

Companies can qualify for skills development incentives by submitting an Annual Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR). By submitting this report, businesses will benefit in the following ways:

  • qualify to claim back a ‘mandatory grant’ of 20% of your Skills Development Levy (SDL);
  • maximising points earned under the Skills Development priority element for BEE;
  • highlighting skills gaps in your organisation – the difference between the skills required for a job and the skills employees actually possess;
  • implementing training to minimise these skills gaps; and
  • applying for ‘discretionary grant’ funding to address ‘critical and scarce skill shortages’ identified in your industry.

The deadline for the submissions is 30 April 2023.

NEASA can assist you to compile and submit these reports to the relevant SETA’s.
