EXEMPTIONS: RESPONSE TO MEIBC CIRCULAR

 
Dear Metal Industry Employer
 
The MEIBC, on 17 February 2015, circulated a memorandum to employers in the Industry regarding facts stated by NEASA in its newsletters dated 19 January 2015 and2 February 2015. NEASA confirms its position as set out in these newsletters and view the memorandum of the Council to be nonsensical and of no value.
 
NEASA's approach in this regard is motivated by the fact that we are currently in the process of reviewing the extension to non-parties of the 2014-17 Main Agreement.
 
In the interim we advise members to follow the processes as set out in our newsletters.
