TERS-FUNDING APPLICATIONS

BANK CONFIRMATION REQUIRED

Dear employer

The Department of Employment and Labour has instituted new security measures in respect of TERS applications in order to combat the recent spate of fraudulent activities.

Employers are now required to confirm their bank account details by virtue of either a CIPC registration number or an ID number. This is compulsory and employers will not be able to access the system without providing the required information first.

Currently, there is a challenge in respect of employers who have a bank account in the name of a different entity, for example trusts, and we are awaiting direction in this regard.

We will keep members abreast of developments in this regard.
