PUBLIC TRANSPORT CURFEW

Dear employer

We previously communicated that, as per the Alert Level 4 regulations, public transporters may operate between 5:00 and 20:00.

This has now, inexplicably and apparently at a whim, been amended by the Minister of Transport to 5:00 and 19:00 (at which time drop-off has to be completed).

Employers who operate outside of these working hours, are still permitted to charter a public transport operator in order to transport its employees.

It seems that the various ministries will be amending the regulations on a regular basis and apparently without good reason or explanation.

Employers will be required to adapt quickly to a seemingly ever moving target.

We will keep members abreast of any developments that require their attention.
