OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY CHECKLIST

Dear employer

The Department of Employment and Labour are still conducting inspections at the sites of employers who are performing essential services during the lockdown.

Although these employers are permitted to continue operating during the lockdown, they have a responsibility to provide a safe working environment for their employees during this time.

To this end, we have included the checklist, utilised by the Department to conduct inspections, to assist employers in ensuring that they are compliant with health and safety requirements.

Employers are advised to comply with all requirements in order to safeguard employees and avoid liability and legal action.
