LEAVE ADVANCEMENT – UPDATE

Dear Road Freight employer

In our previous communique, we indicated that the NBCRFLI established various temporary relief measures to mitigate the negative impact of the national lockdown regulations and COVID-19. One of these temporary relief measures was to allow industry employers to apply for leave pay contributions from the Leave Pay Fund, for the initial lockdown period between 27 March 2020 and 30 April 2020.

The NBCRFLI has advised that the deadline for the Leave Pay Fund applications is Friday, 31 July 2020 at 16h00. No applications will be accepted after this deadline.

We will keep members abreast of any further developments in this regard.
