TO WHAT EXTENT WERE YOU/WILL YOU BE ABLE TO OPEN YOUR BUSINESS?

Dear fellow employer

Since 1 May 2020, the lockdown was downgraded to Alert Level 4, then 3 and is now about to be downgraded to an expanded Alert Level 3.

Apart from the fact that the lockdown caused severe harm to almost all economic sectors, the downgrade concessions came with a lot of strings attached, including stringent OHS and administrative requirements.

In addition, many employers may not have been able to open due to financial constraints or the disruption in the value chain as a result of the lockdown.

In order to determine to what extent (if at all) businesses have or will be able to open, we require employers to participate in a short survey.
