CCMA DISPUTES DURING LOCKDOWN

Dear employer

The CCMA has issued a directive indicating that the offices of the CCMA will nationally, as a general rule, not be opening for face-to-face meetings.

The CCMA will, however, be conducting conciliations telephonically and arbitrations may, under certain circumstances, be conducted at the workplace of the employer or via video conferencing.

Face-to-face meetings may be conducted in exceptional circumstances, with the consent of the parties and under strict health and safety measures.

Employers are advised to contact their regional NEASA office in respect of any communication, whether telephonically or written, received from the CCMA.
