BANK LOAN SCHEME SURVEY

Dear employer

NEASA received unconfirmed reports that, of the R200 billion that was made available for a loan guarantee scheme to support businesses in financial difficulty due to Covid-19, only R2 billion has in fact been taken up.

These funds are administered by the large commercial banks as a loan scheme. We are however aware that some employers have experienced difficulties in accessing these funds.

In order to determine the issues experienced and understand why such a small portion of the funds have been taken up, we request employers who applied, and those who did not, to participate in a short survey.
