COIDA

Return of Earnings (ROE)

SYSTEMS (STILL) OFFLINE –

EXTENDED DELAY

Dear employer

On 10 April 2025, the Department of Employment and Labour (DoEL) issued another notice stating that the Compensation Fund’s (CF) online system for the submission of 2024 Return of Earnings (ROE) season is delayed for an extended period, until 1 May 2025.

This notice comes in addition to the previous notice of 31 March 2025, which stated that the system would have been online and functional from 11 April 2025, which, as expected from government institutions, did not realise.

The following services will be affected during the ROE Online system shut-down period:

  • Employer registrations will not be processed; this includes registrations through the CIPC BizPortal platform as well as through the CF’s back-office processes.

  • Employers will not be able to declare any ROEs, online or manually.

  • The CF will not be able to clear employers who are flagged for audit and process applications for a revision of assessment.

  • No instalment applications will be considered during this period.

The following services will NOT be affected during the ROE Online systems shut-down period:

  • The CompEasy system for the processing of claims.

  • Employers will be able to generate a Letter of Good Standing (LOGS) during this time.

  • However, NEASA has received confirmation that the CF’s systems are not issuing the correct LOGS – the date on the LOGS is still outdated. This matter has been escalated, and we will keep employers abreast of developments in this regard.

  • Employers can still make payments using their CF registration number (U-number).

Employers who require assistance with ROE submissions, or any other COIDA assistance services can send an email to coid@neasa.co.za.
