Dear Industry employer

It has come to our attention that NUMSA has been distributing correspondence threatening employers with industrial action should they not implement the Seifsa/Numsa agreement, which Numsa refer to as a MEIBC agreement.

This initiative by Numsa is aimed at intimidation and confusion. Their agreement with Seifsa, which covers 10 percent of employers in the Industry, is obviously a huge anti-climax for Numsa – it must feel like having shares in Bell Pottinger. Therefore, when you receive communication from Numsa, or when and if they come knocking on your door to enforce their agreement with Seifsa, which has no bearing on you whatsoever, please contact us.
