2014-2017 MAIN AGREEMENT LEGAL CHALLENGE
 

Dear Industry Employer
 
As you are well aware NEASA has filed a review application in the Labour Court seeking to set aside the extension, by the Minister of Labour, of the 2014-2017 MEIBC Main Agreement.
 
The Minister has, to date, not filed her opposing affidavit despite numerous requests and opportunities to do so.
 
NEASA will now file an application to compel the Minister to file her responding papers.
 
We are committed to finalising this matter as speedily as possible and will keep employers abreast of developments.
