Collective Bargaining

Realising the severe shortcomings in the South African collective bargaining model, NEASA is intensely involved in collective bargaining processes and currently has seats on the following bargaining councils: Metal and Engineering Industries Bargaining Council (MEIBC), Motor Industry Bargaining Council (MIBCO) and the National Bargaining Council for the Road Freight and Logistics Industry (NBCRFLI). This gives NEASA the widest footprint within the collective bargaining landscape in South Africa. Within this environment NEASA passionately argues for a new dispensation which is more employer friendly and which will consequently attract the desperately needed economic growth in South Africa.

Employers in South Africa face many challenges, from stringent and often complex labour laws to the high cost of labour-related litigation. As a NEASA member you are guaranteed expert legal representation in labour disputes at fixed rates from our nationwide team of attorneys. You will also have access to a comprehensive industrial relations Resource Centre and a support Hotline for all your labour-related legal queries.
