IT’s OK TO FAIL

Yesterday somebody I respect very much encountered a huge disappointment; he took quite a blow, something he did not deserve. The person I am talking about is a hardworking man, a man with high ethical values, a person I trust.

But bad things also happen to good people; off course it does - in fact, quite often. Although this is true, it remains hard to digest it; to get up and go on. I know it's easier said than done.

However, there is something beautiful in disappointment, but only if you can get up and bounce back. I've read it before, but this week I came across this lesson once again (also by something I read), that if we were to help a butterfly remove itself from its cocoon, the butterfly would not be strong enough to survive. Without the struggle, which causes the development of the butterfly, it won't survive as a butterfly.

That's what disappointment does; it prepares you for bigger things; but only if you can get up and move on; again and again.

So when you fail, fail forward. Fail with expectation for the better opportunity that is awaiting you, but only if you will keep moving forward. If you can do that it's OK to fail.
